We distribute more than 2,500 tons of solid chemicals are distributed to Europe through our own warehouses in Grimsby, Hamburg, Le Havre, Rotterdam.

We also keep more than 2,000 mt liquid products in isotanks are distributed via a buffer stock in Worms. We take care for the heating, customs clearance and supply exactly when product is required.

REACH is the European Community Regulation on chemicals and their safe use (EC 1907/2006). It deals with the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemical substances. The law entered into force on 1 June 2007.

The REACH Regulation places greater responsibility on industry to manage the risks from chemicals and to provide safety information on the substances. Manufacturers and importers are required to gather information on the properties of their chemical substances, which will allow their safe handling, and to register the information in a central database run by the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) in Helsinki. The Agency acts as the central point in the REACH system: it manages the databases necessary to operate the system, co-ordinates the in-depth evaluation of suspicious chemicals and is building up a public database in which consumers and professionals can find hazard information.

As a pioneer of chemical distributors from Europe, Petrex is committed to carry out REACh pre-registration for most products imported from China and sold in Europe.

We keep in close contact with all suppliers and ensure that we get all the information and relevant data about the products.

We also provide European Reach registration consultation and related services for Chinese suppliers.

Since the 21st October 2011, Petrex GmbH is GMP+ certified. The GMP+ Feed Safety Assurance scheme (GMP+ FSA) is a scheme for assuring feed safety in all the links in the feed chain. It is also an international scheme, applicable worldwide.
